Our Penguins room is specially designed for children aged 2 to 3 years, providing a warm, vibrant environment where learning and play go hand in hand. With three experienced educators caring for up to 15 toddlers, the room fosters independence, curiosity, and joyful exploration. The large outdoor area is directly accessible, allowing children to move seamlessly between indoor and outdoor experiences.
In this stage of development, toddlers are encouraged to grow their self-help skills with gentle support. Everyday routines such as toilet training, pouring drinks, washing hands, serving themselves at mealtimes, and making simple choices help build confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
Play-based learning is central to our approach. Toddlers are introduced to colours, shapes, numbers, and letters through fun, engaging activities that stimulate the senses and encourage hands-on discovery. These early experiences lay the groundwork for literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
Social and emotional growth is a key focus. Children learn to take turns, share, and interact positively with peers, while forming friendships that strengthen their communication and self-expression.
Everyday moments in the toddler room are learning opportunities, whether exploring inside or outdoors. Here, children develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning in a safe, nurturing environment that feels like a home away from home.
