Manta Rays
(3 – 4)

The Junior Preschool Room

The Manta Rays room is a bright and engaging space for children aged 3 to 4 years. With two skilled educators caring for up to 20 children at a 1:10 ratio, this room is designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and confidence as children prepare for the next stage of their learning journey. It is also linked to both of our outdoor play spaces promoting connection between indoor and outdoor play experiences.

Our Junior School Readiness program has been thoughtfully developed by our qualified Early Childhood Teachers, in collaboration with local primary schools and families. It provides a strong foundation for learning while nurturing each child’s unique interests, abilities, and strengths.

In this room, children are supported to grow and develop across a variety of areas, including:

  • Independence and self-help skills – encouraging children to take pride in caring for themselves and their surroundings

  • Language and communication – developing speaking, listening, and understanding through stories, conversation, and interactive play

  • Social and emotional growth – learning to cooperate, share, build friendships, and manage emotions

  • Fine motor development – strengthening coordination and control through drawing, building, cutting, and hands-on activities

  • Literacy and numeracy foundations – exploring letters, numbers, shapes, patterns, and early problem-solving through playful learning experiences

  • Cognitive development – fostering curiosity, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Introduction to technology – using age-appropriate tools to support learning and understanding of the digital world

Each day in the Manta rays room is filled with exciting opportunities to explore, imagine, and discover. Children are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and independence in a warm, caring environment that feels welcoming and supportive.
